Manager Login
21shifts.com/dashboard
Open 21shifts.com and click Manager Login in the top nav. Use the credentials provided by Nico. You'll land directly on the New Hire Dashboard for your restaurant.
Only managers see this dashboard. New hires only see their own training modules through their unique SMS link — no login required on their end.
Add a New Hire
21shifts.com/hire
Click Add New Hire and fill in the form. The Role dropdown has four options: Server, Host, Bartender, and Kitchen / Line Cook. Each routes to its own 21-shift training track.
Kitchen hires follow the BOH track — stations, prep standards, ticket flow, allergen handling, and line expectations. Same 21-shift structure, built for the back of house. Select Spanish for any hire who prefers it — all content switches automatically.
SMS Fires Instantly
Twilio · (877) 326-1296
The moment you submit, the system creates a record in the dashboard and fires a Twilio SMS with their unique training link. For Spanish-enrolled hires, the message and all training content will be in Spanish.
No app. No login. No password. They tap the link and Shift 1 begins. The link is unique to them — no one else can use it.

Reading the Dashboard
21shifts.com/dashboard
Every active hire appears in the dashboard regardless of role. Color-coded badges let you immediately identify track: server host kitchen
Each row shows name, shift progress out of 21, days active, pass rate, and action buttons. Everything updates automatically — you don't enter anything manually.
Trainer Brief
Open before every shift
Click Brief on any hire's row to open the Trainer Brief for that shift. The brief covers what to observe, what to teach on the floor, and what needs a trainer signoff before the hire advances.
Use the shift dropdown to pull any brief — it defaults to their current shift. Works on any phone. No printing required, but it's printable if you want it posted.
Tracking Progress
Updates automatically — no manual entry
As hires complete modules, the dashboard updates automatically. Check it before any hire's floor shift. Status badges tell you exactly where each person stands.
Status progression: Shift N (in training) → On Floor (cleared mock service) → Certified (passed Shift 21 exam + GM signoff). All four tracks follow the same progression.
