21 Shifts is a restaurant new-hire training and certification platform operated by Electric Eel Consulting LLC ("we," "us," "our"). This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that information.
This policy applies to restaurant employees ("new hires," "trainees") whose employer has enrolled them in 21 Shifts, and to restaurant managers and trainers who use the platform on behalf of their employer.
We do not collect Social Security numbers, payment information, or government ID numbers through 21 Shifts.
Consent. By being enrolled in 21 Shifts by your employer and providing your mobile number during new-hire orientation, you consent to receive SMS messages from us related to your training.
Message frequency. Message frequency varies based on your training schedule. Most new hires receive between one and three messages per scheduled shift across a 21-shift training program.
Rates. Message and data rates may apply. Check with your mobile carrier for details.
Opt-out. You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message. You will receive one final confirmation that you have been unsubscribed.

Content. All SMS messages sent through 21 Shifts are operational and training-related. We do not send marketing, promotional, or advertising messages through this platform.
We do not sell or share your mobile phone number, SMS opt-in status, or personal information with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
We share information only with the service providers listed below, who process data on our behalf under contract and are bound by their own privacy and security commitments. We also share training progress data with your direct employer (the restaurant that enrolled you) so they can manage your training.
We retain training records for the duration of your employment plus 24 months, after which records are anonymized or deleted unless your employer requests earlier deletion. You may request deletion of your personal data at any time by contacting us at the address below.
Depending on your state of residence, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal information. To exercise any of these rights, email support@21shifts.com with your full name, employer name, and the request you are making. We will respond within 30 days.
21 Shifts is intended for restaurant employees aged 16 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16. If you believe we have collected information from a minor, contact us and we will delete it.
We use industry-standard encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and at rest for all data stored in our platform. Access to hire data is restricted to authorized restaurant managers, trainers, and Electric Eel Consulting staff with a business need.
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated to enrolled users and restaurant administrators via email or SMS. The "Last updated" date at the top of this policy reflects the most recent revision.
